Adobe needed social videos to showcase its new Neural Filters, so they came to us for design and animation.
We noticed that most Photoshop tutorials on YouTube felt really flat, both visually and in terms of engagement. So we flipped the script. Instead of sticking to a standard screen recording, we brought the UI into 3D space. That let us add visual depth, build a more dynamic story, and make everything feel more alive and engaging. We also convinced Adobe to simplify the UI, which helped make the design cleaner and the content more viewer-friendly.
In the end, we delivered four distinct spots, each adapted to four aspect ratios and cut into 30s, 15s, and 6s versions.
My Role: Creative Director, Animator
Storyboards by Steph Sanchez

Initial motion tests by Nick Bizzack played a key role in getting client buy-in for the 3D UI approach.

An early test by Bizzack to sell the idea of a simpler UI and more playful, stylized effect behaviors.

Exploring different UI colors and options made the process more collaborative. By involving the client early, we got real-time feedback and could push the creative further.
